Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 September 2026
In short: what you buy in Momento is not a subscription; it is a one-time capacity or frame package for a single event. The photographs you take are yours. Events and photographs are deleted automatically 60 days after the event ends or the album opens, whichever is later.
1. The service
Momento is a digital disposable camera for events. The person who creates an event (the host) decides how many participants there can be, how many frames each person gets, when the event ends, and when the album opens. The frames taken are shown to nobody until the reveal time.
That time can be set three ways: during the event (the album is open from the start and frames appear as they are taken), when the event ends, or a chosen delay after it ends. With the first there is no wait at all: the reveal time is the event's own beginning.
2. Account
To create an event you need to sign in with Apple or Google. To join an event no account is needed; a guest only types their name.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app.
3. Purchases
- All purchases are made through Apple as in-app purchases. Apple is the seller; billing and collection belong to Apple.
- A package bought is valid only for the event it was bought for. It cannot be transferred to another event.
- Packages are one-time, do not renew automatically, and are not a subscription.
- Prices are as shown on the App Store, VAT included.
- When a package is bought, the event's limits rise immediately; they are never lowered under any circumstances.
3.1 Refunds
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds on Apple's behalf; if you run into a problem, write to support@capturemomento.com and we will help you through it.
3.2 Restoring purchases
One-time (consumable) purchases cannot be restored by the App Store. That is why we keep the purchase records on our own side: Settings → Restore purchases reapplies the package to your event when you change device.
4. Photographs and content
- The photographs you take are yours. Momento claims no ownership over them and does not use them for any purpose, marketing included.
- The only permission you give us is the one needed to provide the service: to store the photograph and to show it to the participants of that same event at the reveal time.
- The host of an event can delete a frame in their own event.
5. Prohibited use
The following are strictly prohibited in Momento and lead to the account being closed when found:
- Taking or sharing intimate images of people who have not consented
- Nudity, sexual content, content containing violence or hate speech
- Harassing, threatening or impersonating another person
- Any content that exploits children
- Unlawful content, copyright infringement
- Automated access to the service, reverse engineering, or attempts to defeat security measures
Any participant can report an objectionable frame from inside the app; the host can delete the frame and remove the person from the event. Content that breaches these terms is met with no tolerance.
6. The host's responsibility
The person who creates an event is responsible for obtaining consent to be photographed from the people they invite, and for the content shared at their event.
7. Retention period
Events and every photograph in them are permanently deleted 60 days after the event ends or the album opens, whichever is later. You must download the frames you want to keep to your own device within that period. The period cannot be extended and deleted data cannot be recovered.
8. Continuity of the service
We work to provide Momento without interruption, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. We may change or discontinue the service; if we discontinue it before a paid event has run its course, we refund what you paid.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Momento cannot be held liable for indirect damages or for loss of data. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us for the event in question. This does not remove any rights you have under consumer law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye.
11. Changes
If the terms change, the date at the top is updated, and for significant changes you are told inside the app.
12. Who provides this, and contact
Momento is provided by Mehmet Seha Tanrıkulu, acting as an individual, who is the party to these terms. Momento is not a company; it is a product run by one person.
